Resident Report: Anne Turner, Valorie & Shannon
Shannon Hill, Ph.D.

Anne Turner For the second year in a row, The Baddour Center's fashion show included resident models alongside the profession-als. This year, Anne Turner, Valorie and Shannon graced the stage in apparel from Chessie's of Memphis. These ladies were asked to model because they each have a combination of dazzling beauty and sparkling per-sonality. More importantly though, each of them has a special way of charming everyone around them.

All of the ladies told me it was very exciting to be asked to represent The Baddour Center in this year's show. "It was fun walking down the runway!" Anne Turner exclaims with a wide smile. "My mom was excited, too! She brought all of her friends to see me!" Anne Turner looked beautiful in an irides-cent silk pantsuit in topaz, which made the most of her tall stature. She walked down the runway as if she'd done it a million times, her vivacious-ness play-ing to the crowd.

"The clothes were so pretty," says Valorie in her sweet, demure way. Dressed in a red Asian print top and gray pants, Valorie flashed a welcoming smile and a lady-like wave as she walked the runway. She looked like a 1940s movie star with her perfectly-matched red lipstick and beautifully curled, silky dark hair. "It was really fun."

Valorie Shannon

The final resident to walk the runway this year was Baddour's quintessential entertainer, Shannon. Decked out in a soft brown turtle neck and matching pants, her outfit was topped off with a light aqua suede jacket and matching turquoise acces-sories. She thrilled the crowd with a dramatic twirl and a wave. "I practiced my turns a few weeks before the fashion show. My friends helped me."

Congratula-tions to these three beau-tiful ladies, and thank you for vol-unteering your time and talents to help raise money for The Baddour Center. You are definitely three bright, shining stars!
